    Radio Frequency Identification (RFID, electronic label) and Near Field Communication (NFC) are two popular keywords, both of which are Tagging.NFC is developed on the basis of RFID. In essence, NFC is not very different from RFID, which is based on signal transmission between two objects with similar geographical locations.

     

    RFID is a non-contact recognition technology, which is divided into active and passive.The main working principle is that the RFID reader emits radio frequency, passes through the coil of the electronic label, generates the signal, the reader reads the information and decodes, completes the entire identification process.In general, active tags (active tags) can be active as well.The RFID system consists of Reader and Transponder.

     

    NFC is a technology that has been widely applied on mobile phones in recent years. It is mainly the function of two NFC devices to interact with each other and complete the corresponding transaction when they get close within a relatively close distance.The NFC's biggest feature is integrating the reader and transponder into the same chip.The NFC technology adds point-to-point communication to quickly establish P2P (point-to-point) wireless communication between bluetooth devices, and NFC devices look for each other and establish a communication connection.The two devices of P2P communication are peer to peer, while the two devices of RFID communication are master-slave.

     

    The relationship between the two is that it can be assumed that the NFC is a subset of RFID, that is, RFID within 10cm or 4inch communication distance is NFC.NFC is only limited to the 13.56mhz band!The frequency range of RFID is between low frequency (125KHz to 135KHz), high frequency (13.56mhz) and ultra-high frequency (860MHz to 960MHz).This difference is mainly caused by the fact that in some applications designed for cash payment and credit card, under the communication distance of RFID, other devices can also receive personal RFID information, which is unsafe.The effective working distance of NFC is about 10cm, so it has high safety.If some special signal acquisition equipment is used, the RFID information can be read at a considerable distance.
